Time Flies!

Hello all!
I can hardly believe that we have already completed the first nine weeks of this school year. I have very much enjoyed getting to know each and every student in our class. As time goes on, it's amazing to watch the class morph into a family. We might have our differences from time to time, but it's how we work out those differences that defines our class culture.
My heart was warmed today as we prepared for our vocabulary parade. We were all making our final decisions on our vocabulary word and the costume that represented it. A few of the students were missing some key items to their costumes. When we discussed the items the students still needed, hands popped up all over the classroom volunteering their own personal belongings from their home. I was a proud teacher. Thanks to a little cooperation, I know our class will have some outstanding costumes on Thursday!
I'm going to end this blog with what we always say in our class. We are a team. We are family. Are our actions helping our team or hurting our team? Today we were a successful and generous family. I have a feeling this is definitely a winning team this year!
